Andy Fenton BEd (Hons) Founder
and Director of both The Sportzcoach
Limited and The Sportzcoach
London Limited.
17 years ago, Andy qualified as a nursery nurse and then went on to
graduate from an education and P.E. based degree.
Following his career as a teacher for 6 years the idea of ‘The Sportzcoach’
was born in 2002, and he now specializes in coaching sports of all kinds to
all ages. His high levels of enthusiasm are motivated by getting others
developed and involved in sports and physical activity.
Andy’s main ambition is to
get his self invented game of
TRIBALL played at the Olympic
games, and on a personal note,
he spends his spare time playing
sport. On Saturday afternoons
can be found scoring goals for
Sportzcoach United FC! The rest
of his time is spent with his
very own little sports star
son, Freddie.
Dave Manners BA (Hons)
Founder
and Director of The Sportzcoach
London Limited. Dave graduated
from Southampton Solent University
with a BA (Hons) in Sports Studies
with Business.
He is a keen footballer and has been coaching for 9 years. Qualified in
various sports at a level 2 standard, and looking to further this, his passion
to gain knowledge and educate others is never ending!
His friendly personality and experience of dealing with kids provides a
great balance for coaching. He’s a fantastic role model who can build great
relationships with groups of children.
Dave’s ambitions are to ensure
the youth of today are given
the opportunity to participate
in sport and physical activity.
Barry Smith
One
of Sportzcoach's most experienced
coaches, Barry is an FA Qualified
Level 2 Football Coach and his
coaching experience spans over
twenty years. He is also qualified
and actively involved in various
sporting community projects
including football, rugby and
cricket. He and his wife Lucie
have three boys aged ten, seven
and four, and so is suitably
qualified in dealing with children
of all ages. Barry is a positive,
friendly, approachable and reliable
person and his on hand experience
with his young boys makes him
a fantastic role model for children
of all ages. He has a passion
for all sports and is driven
by the desire to ensure that
all children are given the opportunity
to enjoy all sports.
Malcolm Bond R.M. Dip P.T.
Following
8 years active service in the
Royal Marines, Malcolm took
his diploma in Personal Training
and Sports Massage. He is now
a sports coach and fitness trainer
who also plays rugby and football,
goes running and is captain
of the Box cricket team. When
Malcolm isn't sports coaching
he loves playing sport and flying
light aircraft, thankfully not
at the same time!
Kim Rimmer
Kim
loves sport and has coached for
over three years for The Sportzcoach.
She has a BTEC National Diploma
in sport and leisure and spent
a year coaching football with
Major League Soccer in America.
At weekends she represents Bradford
on Avon ladies football team and
is qualified at a level 2 standard.
Kim is looking to progress to
level 3 in football and gain further
qualifications in other sports.
She is our Sportzcoach celebrity
having recently appeared as a
'soccrette' on the TV show Soccer
AM.
Toby Goodman
Toby
is originally from New Zealand
where he graduated from University
with a Business Degree majoring
in Sports Management and Coaching.
After 15 years working in
the travel industry, Toby has
returned to sports coaching.
He is now a Sports Teacher at
The Paragon School in Bath,
specialising in rugby and cricket.
In his spare time Toby enjoys
playing cricket for his local
club, watching 'The Simpsons'
and proudly supporting all New
Zealand sports teams!
Katie Humphries
Katies'
scolarship at Performers College
lead to a career in musical
theatre and commercial dance.
Now, using her teaching qualifications
gained at college and experience
in the dance industry, she has
decided to pursue a career in
teaching to inspire young people
to get involved in dance. Katie
likes to 'relax' by running
her own dance classes at her
local studio.
Craig Lilley
Craig
is currently in his final year
at Bath University studying
a (BA Hons) in Sports Coaching.
He has worked for Sportzcoach
for the past 3 years. During
this time he has gained various
coaching badges in a number
of sports. His favourite sport
is rugby, where he is currently
playing for the Bath University
1st team at hooker, having previously
represented Bath rugby academy.
He enjoys working with children
giving them the oportunity to
enjoy sport at any level.
Leah Alday
Leah
has been part of the Sportzcoach
team for just over 2 years.
She works in the office, based
in Corsham, managing the dreaded
paperwork, dealing with the
payments, invoices and VAT!
She very occasionally helps
out at events and parties if
needed! Leah also works part-time
at a primary school in Chippenham
and has two sport-mad sons aged
10 and 8, all of which gives
her a wide knowledge of working
with children! During her free
time she enjoys hiking, running
and keeping fit on her X trainer
at home. Leah climbed (and successfully
summited) Mt Kilimanjaro 18
months ago, and has also completed
the Yorkshire 3 Peaks!
